I came to this work after many years as a client, experiencing first-hand the transformative healing and personal growth that is possible through a supportive, trusting relationship with a therapist.

In 2016 I completed the 3-year academic portion of my training with the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. TIRP is an accredited school with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has been training therapists for over 20 years. After taking a leave of absence to care for my two young children I am currently in the final stages of completing my clinical hours towards full Registration with the CRPO.

I hold an Honours BA in Gender and Women’s Studies with a Minor in Creative Writing, as well as a Certificate in Sexuality Studies, from York University. My post-secondary education also includes training in the Fine Arts. I am particularly interested in the ways creativity intersects with emotional health and wellbeing.

My professional background includes work in sexual and reproductive health counselling with a focus on abortion care, and full-spectrum Doula work.

I am forever in awe of the human capacity for connection and creativity even under the most difficult circumstances. I believe walking in the woods helps most things. I am a devoted parent and friend, avid reader and writer, and music lover.

Like every one of us I am an endless work-in-progress with my own challenges, tender spots, and growing edges. I strive to maintain personal growth and continue to build on my therapeutic skills through ongoing work with my own therapist, clinical and peer supervision, professional workshops, and self-education.

I am a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists and the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy.
